Roll up to the Narrows Marina and secure yourself a spot in the race. Take your fun to the next level by naming your group and adorning yourselves in themed costume.

The Narrows Challenge & Music Festival
Saturday July 23rd, 2011

Come join us for a full day of fun and festivities at The Narrows Marina on the beautiful Waskesiu Lake. Turn the day into a weekend by camping at the Narrows Campground and enjoy the jovial livelihood that surrounds a community getting together to paddle some water, listen to some tunes, and eat some 'burgs.

What is the Narrows Challenge?

A 17 km canoe challenge OR an 8.5 km mini challenge
From The Narrows Marina to the end of the narrows and back
$12.50 entry fee per paddler
Canoers and kayakers welcome
Teams may bring their own boats, or the marina can provide one at a discounted rental rate. Book early to ensure you have a boat! 306-663-1999

Are there prizes? Yes!

You don’t have to be the fastest team on the water to win the prizes
All sponsored prizes will be awarded from a lottery amongst all race participants
The fastest teams will be awarded medals
The winners will have their name added to the Narrows Challenge Trophy

Waskesiu Lake Adventure Centre Toonie Tour Boat

Running tours of the Narrows all day starting at 10:30am. Tours departing on the hour
$2.00 / person
The jaunt aboard the luxurious pontoon boat provides an opportunity to observe the race as it happens and learn something new about the area.

Fresh Air Experience (FAE) Demo Day

FAE will have equipment on-site for racers and spectators to try the latest in canoes and kayaks
FAE Staff will also be present to answer general questions about paddling and paddling equipment.

PANP Interpretive Displays
