Waskesiu Townsite

The Waskesiu Townsite offers visitors a variety of services, all within walking distance of Waskesiu's main beach. Take a walk down the breakwater, spend some time on the playground or browse through one of the many shops that are just a minute away. The main beach offers wonderful swimming and sun bathing that is close to the convenience of town, yet right next to the great outdoors.

Approximately:

  • 7 kms from the Waskesiu Marina by vehicle
  • 3 kms from the Waskesiu Marina by boat

  • Several camp kitchens

 

Waskesiu River

The beauty of the Waskesiu River can be experienced from either land or water. Take a leisurely paddle down the river or hike the 2.5 km trail around the riffle. Either method of travel gives you a look into the past; silent flowing rivers, quiet breathing forests and entrancing blue skies.

Approximately:

  • 2 kms from the Waskesiu Marina
  • 5 kms from the Waskesiu Townsite
  • 1.5 kms from the Waskesiu Marina paddling on the river

Point View

Located just North-West of the Waskesiu Marina, Point View provides a quiet little get away. With picnic tables and a mini-camp kitchen you can enjoy a lovely lunch with a breath-taking view of Waskesiu Lake.

  • 500m from the Waskesiu Marina (by vehicle or boat)
  • 7.5 kms from the Waskesiu Townsite

Birch Bay
 

Swimming, waterskiing, wakeboarding; you can do it all at Birch Bay. With both hibachis and a camp kitchen, Birch Bay is another favourite when it comes to beach BBQ's. Take the family out and enjoy a day on the water at Birch Bay.

South Bay

A quiet bay perfect for a day on the water, South Bay provides beach users an excellent place to bring the family. With fire pits, hibachis and picnic tables, the bay offers several picnic spots to enjoy a relaxing lunch on the beach. If you are looking for an adventure, then hike the Mud Creek trail and learn about the many ecological features of Prince Albert National Park.

Paignton Beach

Situated between Ice Push Ridge and the Narrows, Paignton Beach is a local favourite when it comes to Waskesiu Lake. Paignton Beach is a great place to swim and boat, as well as allowing quick access to the Narrows Marina. Create your own campfire in a hibachi or camp kitchen while enjoying the sandy beach and view of Waskesiu.

  • 19 kms from the Waskesiu Townsite
  • 5 kms from the Narrows Marina (vehicle and boat)
  • 9.5 kms from the Waskesiu Marina by boat

Narrows

With a history completely its own, the Narrows offers visitors a different look at Prince Albert National Park. Discover your own favourite fishing hole or paddle your way along the quiet shores; the Narrows is a place all on its own. Spend a few nights in the Narrows Campground and experience the magic, beauty and serenity of the Narrows.

*Looking for an awesome time? Enjoy the day at the Narrows Challenge! Whenther you're into canoeing or just enjoying live music, this is the place to be at the end of July.
