Those who prefer to ride in a motorized boat will enjoy our 16 ft and 18 ft Yamaha fishing boats. These sturdy and stable aluminium boats are powered by environmentally friendly 30 & 40 horse power Yamaha four-stroke motors with electric start. These boats are great for fishing or sightseeing excursions around the lake and pulling a tube. Our 16 ft fishing boats allow for six (6) persons which includes children and infants, the 18 ft fishing boats allow for seven (7) persons which include children and infants.
A deposit of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per fishing boat will be processed prior to your rental. We will accept Visa and Mastercard for the deposit. Providing no damage to the equipment is found the deposit will be refunded. If any damage the deposit will be held for the applicable boat until repair costs have been assessed.
Reservations
For those who enjoy the sport of angling, all our Marina locations have PANP angling permits and regulation summaries, an excellent selection of fishing tackle, rods & accessories, and filleting stations to clean your day’s catch.
No Boaters Card Required
- You do not need a boat operator’s card to rent our fishing boats.
- Credit card number is required to make a reservation.
- We take you through our dock-side certification that allows you to operate the boat for the duration of the rental. The operation of the boat is explained so you are competent and confident to operate the boat safely
Our rental rates include all necessary equipment: life jackets, paddles, safety kits, one (1) tank of fuel, and anchors.

With the increase in the price of fuel a 5% fuel surcharge will be applied at time of rental. This percentage will vary as prices of fuel go up or down
You must arrive at the rental location at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time to complete the necessary paperwork.

Waskesiu Adventure Centre Large Tube (fits two persons) Flat rate of $50 per day
The Narrows Small Tube(fits one person) Flat rate of $30 per day
Day Fishing Trips
Please be advised, due to extremely low water levels at the Kingsmere Landing boat launch we are unable to offer fishing boat rentals on Kingsmere Lake at this time.
Due to low water levels in the third channel of the Hanging Heart Lakes into Crean Lake, our fishing boats are not permitted on Crean Lake at this time.
If transporting fishing boat to Kingsmere Lake, you must provide 3 business days prior notice to the Marina to meet SGI requirements
Day Fishing Trips to Kingsmere Lake
Must provide 24 hrs notice prior to trip. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit if cancelled the day of the trip.
We charge a full day rental in all circumstances of eight (8) hrs – 16 ft rental is $330, 18 ft is $410. Taxes/fees are additional.
For this trip you will have to trailer your boat using one of our trailers to and from the Kingsmere Landing
To do this you must supply the SGI operator’s number of the person operating the vehicle that is towing the boat and trailer. This is for liability and insurance purposes. SGI requires at least 48 hours for this process and can only be done Monday to Friday.
For you to trailer your boat up and back from the landing you require a vehicle with a towing bar and a two inch towing ball, we can supply this type of receiver for towing.
Fishing Boat Policy for Day Fishing Trips to Kingsmere Lake
- You must meet at the Waskesiu Lake Main Marina prior to heading to Kingsmere Landing.
- The Waskesiu Marina reserves the right to cancel the trip if the weather forecast for wind is 15km/h or greater.
- You must return the boat and deregister before closing time.
Cancellations Due to Weather
Please be advised that the Waskesiu Marina may refuse to proceed with watercraft rentals if the weather conditions are deemed unsafe. It is the Marina’s policy not to send out watercraft within 30 minutes of thunder or lightning or when the wind gusts exceed 15km/h.
While we strive to provide ample notice of rental cancellations, this is not always possible as weather conditions may change rapidly. We recommend reviewing the weather forecast on the morning of your rental and or calling the marina before travelling to Waskesiu.
