Accessing the Crean Lake campgrounds is a true journey of discovery. Accessible only by water craft an expedition to Crean Lake requires travellers to launch their boat at the Hanging Heart Lakes Marina. The Hanging Heart Lakes consist of three small lakes that form a waterway into Crean Lake. As you enter Crean Lake you’ll see Crean Kitchen, a backcountry campground and a picnic site for day trippers. Are you planning a multi-day trip around Crean Lake? Overnight at one or more of the four Crean Lake campgrounds.
Be aware that Crean Lake is the largest lake in the park and presents wide areas of open water. In extremely windy weather, it may be necessary to wait for calmer conditions before attempting to cross the lake.
All of the Crean Lake Campgrounds offer:

Crean Kitchen Campground
Crean Kitchen is the first campground you will find after travelling through the Crean Channel access from the Hanging Heart Lakes. This picturesque campground is located on the north Shore of the Crean Channel as you enter in the southwestern corner of Crean Lake. Crean Kitchen makes a great first stop on multi day camping trips on Crean Lake and the shared camp kitchen shelter is a great picnic site for day trippers.

Chipewyan Campground
Located on the west shore of Crean Lake the Chipewyan Campground offers boaters and paddlers a campsite sheltered from the prevailing northwest winds and an excellent swimming beach.
Located on the western shore of Crean Lake, Chipewyan Campground offers:

Moose Bay Campground
The Moose Bay Campground is one of Prince Albert National Park’s more remote backcountry camping locations. This secluded bay located on the northwestern shore of Crean Lake offers visitors a campsite sheltered from the prevailing northwest winds and excellent Northern Pike fishing. A covered kitchen shelter makes a great place to cook the catch of the day!

Big Island Campground
The Big Island Campground is an island getaway in the heart of Prince Albert National Park. Accessible by motor boat or paddling craft, Big Island offers a unique camping location near the eastern shore of Crean Lake. A shared camp kitchen shelter is great place to socialise with other campers and a great rest stop for boaters exploring the lake.
